Erin Ailworth

Erin Ailworth joined the Boston Globe’s business department in July 2008. She covers consumer energy and the business of the environment. Previously, Ailworth was a reporter for the Boston Globe’s North section after three years at the Orlando Sentinel where as a metro reporter she relished hurricane duty. Before that, she spent a year at the Los Angeles Times in its METPRO program working in the regionals, metro, and features. While at the Globe, Erin has made her mark covering financial troubles at the Salem public schools and the untimely death of a cheerleader. A graduate of Northwestern, Erin grew up in a suburb of Sacramento and speaks Spanish.
