Shinzawa is the Boston Bruins beat writer for the Boston Globe sports section. He also covers NASCAR for the paper. Prior to assuming the Bruins beat, Shinzawa was the lead college hockey writer for the publication. Before arriving at the Globe in December 2002, he was a senior editor for the Robb Report, a luxury lifestyle publication based in Malibu, Calif., with an editorial office in Acton, Mass. He began his career in journalism at the Concord (N.H.) Montior covering high school sports, UNH hockey and NASCAR. Shinzawa is a 1999 graduate of Boston University.
