Bray is a business reporter and columnist covering the high-tech industry for the Boston Globe business section. He also contributes to Boston.com's DigitalMASS, a Web site operated by boston.com that offers news and commentary on the region's high-tech industry. Before joining the Globe, he covered banking and technology as a reporter for the Detroit Free Press. Prior to that, he was a reporter at the Lexington (KY) Herald-Leader. He has also written for Wired, Fast Company and Black Enterprise. His first experience as a newspaper reporter was at the Daily Journal in Wheaton, IL, where he was also a columnist. He began his career in journalism at Computer People Monthly, a computer magazine based in Chicago, where he was a reporter and a managing editor. He received an award from the Overseas Press Club for his series on the Internet in Africa. Also, while at the Free Press, he was awarded a Jefferson Fellowship for the study of Asian business and politics at the East-West Center in Honolulu. Bray is a graduate of Knox College and Wheaton College, both in Illinois. |
