A show of strength from the Foo Fighters

It’s hard to think of a band that’s been more consistent over the last 15 years than the Foo Fighters. Dave Grohl’s post-Nirvana project was popular out of the gate, and while there have been peaks and dips, the group’s popularity has never really flagged. Similarly, their albums have never strayed very far from their basic sound, while still avoiding the trap of repetition. Time has passed and they may have settled into their roles as venerable statesmen, but the band that played the TD Garden on Wednesday could have easily been the one from 1997 or 2002 or 2008.
