Young star of Scorsese’s ‘Hugo’ approached the role like everything else — with disarming confidence

In an era when teenage icons are regular tabloid fodder, Chloe Grace Moretz’s determined work ethic and air of innocence make her the kind of role model parents crave. Last year she turned heads in “Kick-Ass’’ and “Let Me In.’’ Now the 14-year-old is starring with Ben Kingsley in Martin Scorsese’s “Hugo’’ - her character is, she says, “like me in a way . . . very strong and adventurous and she loves to dream.’’
