Carlile takes the stage alone

Friday at Berklee Performance Center, Brandi Carlile recounted her history of playing in Boston over the last seven years, listing enough local venues to plan a tour that lasted two weeks and never left town. In all that time, though, she’s never played here solo, without the support of the band anchored by her trusty Hanseroth twins, Tim and Phil. The Berklee concert raised the question: Why on earth not?
