Boston, MA, 2007-04-26 - The Boston Globe and BostonWorks, Boston's leading recruitment services provider, are announcing the move of On Call to an online-only format. On Call, an industry-specific magazine for nurses and allied health professionals, is moving to an online publication after nine years as a print magazine. This will allow for greater reach and access into the healthcare community.

On Call features articles and information on the latest trends in healthcare, along with personal stories from professionals in the field. It is a useful resource for healthcare professionals of every level. One of the major advantages to readers is that the online publication will be updated weekly, while the print publication was published only six times a year. Each week, a new story or column will spotlight useful information focused on helping healthcare professionals grow in their careers. Articles will contain live links for immediate access to more information. Site visitors will also have access to the latest upcoming events and will be able to contact sponsors directly to find out more or to register.

"The new format will allow readers to have a more active role with the publication and offer suggestions for new stories," said Joe Saling, managing editor, On Call. "The healthcare industry is one that is rapidly evolving. With the transition from print to online, On Call now has the ability to provide the newest and most relevant information to our readers on a weekly basis."
