The fifth annual Media Matters Writing Conference for High School/Middle School Teachers and Students will take place on November 5th (High School) and November 6th (Middle School). More than 900 students and teachers from 60 schools have registered for the conference, which is being presented free of charge by The Boston Globe Foundation and the University of Massachusetts, Boston.The conference will provide 54 workshops on a range of topics. . .

The Boston Globe has announced that the fifth annual Boston Globe Travel Show will take place on February 19-21, 2010 at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston. The Boston Globe Travel Show is one of the largest consumer-attended travel shows in the United States. In 2009, more than 17,000 consumers and 1,600 travel trade professionals attended the show, making the 2009 show the most successful to date.
