Position Scope/Definition:

 

Assist editors and reporters with the daily functions associated with the Business pages.

Key Duties:

 

  • Prepare morning competition report

  • Write Who’s What, Where blog

  • Edit Letters to the Editor

  • Prepare business calendars to schedule upcoming events that should be covered

  • Interact with public and answer business-related queries

  • Screen emails and faxes for news value

Core competencies:

 

Strong writing and verbal skills; an interest in business news. Ability to work with others and to interact effectively with the public. Research skills.

Experience/knowledge/
skill/technical expertise required:

 

Proficient with Microsoft office, prior office experience helpful.
